'Shinota mo Bogs e. And all my life I will regret the day that I lost you' (Dahil Mahal na Mahal Kita), 'Hindi ko alam, it just hit me! I didn’t even believe in forever Toni, but I think I found forever in you' (Got 2 Believe In Magic), 'Pag mahal mo, mahal mo! wala ng kasi kasi, wala ng pero pero, kasi mahal mo eh!' (A Very Special Love). These famous romantic lines become popular not only in the Philippines but also for all the Filipinos in the world. As living in the 21st century where online chatting, facebooking and googling is very addicting, we cant still deny that we are hopelessly romantic emotional machines that can't resist to find our comfort zones in watching cheesy and romantic movies. But haven't you ever think of how our present magnificent writers and diligent directors perform and create this movie? Why does romantic movies become never a rusty plate for every one yet we still know how it will work in the end? Let's see

It is common for Filipinos to watch different romantic series, indie films and movies because we are [obviously] die-hard romantic fools in such that our imaginations and creative minds are joining together to form fantastic, touching love stories and heart breaking scenes. Yes! there's nothing to be shamed of about this. PBB Teens? Nah. Not even more than that. We are just to express how love revolves in the life of all the Filipinos. It is in our blood to show and express love to one another so as a tribute, we are reenacting this with the use of lights and cameras. Corny? Never as long as we don't see those as one. 'Paulit-ulit' or have the same concept? Yes! there's nothing to argue with it, friends. Look, It is easy for us to identify certain things if we know some common points about them isn't? That explains the thought of 'romantic Filipino movies are always the same'. Our directors and writers make scenes they know that will be remembered by the mass. They are intentionally making those trademarks for the viewers to identify that what they are watching is a product of the Philippines. Out of our consciousness, we are being united by those movies. Our minds and thoughts are being united by the fact that we already know what will happen to the next scene. Amazing isn't? This only shows that we, Filipinos are not always in the midst of poverty and 'pagkawatak-watak'. Our minds and thoughts are in unity as how we reflect love and movie scenes in our life.
This 2010 film is about two people who are best friends since high school-----Bogs (Gerald Anderson) and Mae (Kim Chui). They treat each other as siblings to the point that every single thing about themselves is bluntly known by each parties. However, Mae, who is ever supportive to his bestfriend keeps the biggest secret a bestfriend could not ever tell-----She is secretly inlove with him. As time goes by, Bogs never sees how great is the love of her bestfriend for him. All that he thinks is that, "Kasi nga magbestfriends kami". Until his first love, Anna (Melissa Ricks) broke up with him and everything changes between Bogs and Mae. They realize that they are not just bestfriends rather more than what they know. Bogs and Mae follow their hearts and find happiness in each arms. Unfortunately, Bogs is still in the stage of "first love never dies" and "love is where happiness is within". He is confuse with what he really feels for Mae and for his first love, Anna. In the end, Mae sets his bestfriend/boyfriend free for she believes that "if you love someone, set him free. If he comes back, you're meant to be"

The film was given rated 'B' by Cinema Evaluation Board (CEB) and rated GP (General Patronage) for its amazing scenes and in general flow of story, respectively. Earning P12 million at its first week and P130 million at its last week of screening (not including the small and international cinemas) proves that Filipino romantic movies are still in hot spot.

In conclusion, it can be said that Filipinos are still enjoying watching romantic movies than any other type of film.
