Corazon ang Unang Aswang

​​The movie is about a young married couple who’ve been wanting to have a baby for so long but was never given the chance.

Corazon (Erich Gonzales) is a simple wife with the wish of bearing a son for her husband.

One day, Corazon became desperate and the she decided to seek help from a local shaman who’s prayers (to have a child) have been answered. The shaman gave her instructions and she immersed herself into rituals and incantations, saying prayers, and isolating herself from the world. She went on like this for two weeks without food nor water in a quiet place on top of a mountain. It was just prayers, prayers and more prayers!

After months of anticipation, their prayers were finally answered. They were so excited to have the baby. Unfortunately, the baby came out dead. After knowing this, Corazon went nuts! She couldn’t accept the fact that her baby was dead. She stayed in there house for days just nursing the dead baby. Her husband tried to take the baby but she screamed at him. She took the baby for a stroll and everyone, of course, looked at her strangely. They started mocking her and her baby. She got insulted and frustrated because she never moved on. She went wild! She started screaming at everyone around her. She even bit one woman on the ear.

She got so disappointed that after days of prayers and sacrifices all she got was a dead baby. She went to the forest near their area and began cursing God. She even insulted him by eating her dead baby.

She swore not to let any child in their community live. She started taking every child she could find and would eat them alive.

The villagers suspected her but they weren’t sure. One night, a villager saw her about to take his child. He noticed her face because he was a close companion of her husband. They wouldn’t believe him at first because they all thought Corazon was dead. She appeared again and took another life. The villagers came running after her. Her husband, on the other hand, killed the man who burned down his house because the man believed that Corazon sometimes still resides there and that the husband is hiding her.

The villagers chased Corazon while the bodyguards of the man her husband killed was chasing him. They met in the woods and decided to run of, hide away from everyone else, and continue on with there lives.
